Memorise: And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: Revelation 1:17

READ: Revelation 1:9-17

From John’s experience with God’s glory, we observe that an encounter with God’s glory elicits a higher level of surrender. Whatever he held unto, he finally surrendered at the feet of the Master. He was totally yielded to the Lord that he appeared as one that was dead (Revelations 1:17). If you want to see His glory, you must be ready to surrender everything. Today, consecration is lacking and consistently dwindling among Christians. Many have invited the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts yet He remains prohibited from some of the rooms in those hearts. As long as there are no go areas in your life, there is very little of God’s glory that you can see. Some people invite and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord but when it comes to their source of income, business or work, they simply tell Him to mind His business. As long as you hold back your business from His divine will, you cannot see the glory of the Lord.

If Jesus is truly your Lord, then your source of income is His business. Your academic career is his business. Your intended marriage is His business. He needs you to surrender everything you are still holding back. What are you holding back from Him? Do you think He does not know everything going on in that area? He surely does. If you are still resisting His will, you will not see His glory. When John dropped before the Lord as a dead man, he lost the right to hold any idea, opinion or position that was contrary to the will of the Master. He was totally yielded to the Lord, allowing Him to have His way. The one, who allows the King of Glory to have His way, will definitely bask in the glory of the King. Give up that thing you are holding back and be totally yielded to Him today!

PRAYER POINT:
Father, today, everything I have withheld from You, I surrender all to You.

Bible in one year: Deuteronomy 4-6

Verse of the Day

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. — James 3:17-18 (NIV)
